So, now I have no Internet access at my rental house. Oh, I know. My woes, my woes. Actually, this is really setting my mental state back quite significantly. I'm not a social networking/techy junkie mind you. But I AM a bit of a compulsive email checker and blogger/writer/researcher. So, this is KILLING me. I've had no access for over a week now, and no end to it sight. Long story. No time to get into said long story because I have to type this quick post at the library while my 3 children wreak havoc. HAVOC I tell you.
So, I will only be able to blog when I get the chance to get away for an hour or so on a weekend when my husband watches the kiddies. Which, is like, a long shot the way our weekends have been booked up lately. Ugh! It's just... ridiculous... the string of random "bad" luck that has been peeing on my head this month.
I DO want to mention that the highlight of my life the past few weeks was that I received two very special bloggie awards from some of my fellow bloggers (and favorite bloggers and all around great ladies). The great thing about these 2 awards are that I get to "pass them on" with my own nominees... but this will have to be done in a post where I have more time. Thank you Tanya at Teen Autism and Laughing Stars at Stark Raving Bibliophile... You guys are so sweet!! I am honored and can't wait to share my nominees and honor you guys and pass the award along!! I WILL get my post up ASAP - I promise!! That is, if I survive this plague of locusts that have descended on my beautiful suburban life. Ok, maybe not locusts. But gnats. Annoying gnats. Or fruit flies. Something. Something causing a string of annoyances, car accidents, aggravations, headaches, and overall lousy karma. My children are not even exempt. Rella has impaled herself on a toothbrush in the back of her throat causing blood to gush out of mouth and nose for 5 minutes. She also managed to chip her front tooth and get a nice lump on her big ole forehead. All in separate accidents. Tink has also smashed up her face a few times... slipping while coming out of the tub. Pink has managed to escape unscathed. Though, she has a basket case as a Mom, which is likely causing psychological trauma.
Well at least I still have my health. Other than this awesome U.T.I. I just became afflicted with yesterday. Of course. Why not?

You are having a spell of weird things happening. It reminds me of my college boyfriend. His parents nicknamed him "Jinx" when he was little and the named followed him to college. Boy did he live up to the name. The most bizarre stuff would happen to him. Like being locked in his bathroom during the last final of his college career. The maid was cleaning the floor underneath him and heard him hallowing and pounding to get out. He had to convince his professor to call the maid to confirm his unlikely story. Otherwise he wouldn't have been able to take the final or graduate.
After he graduated him moved to another state and left his parent's nickname for him at college. I think his life improved. At least the last time I spoke to him it had.
Goodness you poor thing, I don't think I could keep my sanity w/out my internet!!! Will you be able to get it at your rental eventually?
Good God. You need to burn some sage. And then come over to my house, because I've got some stories to tell. But this is your blog and your story --
fingers crossed that your luck changes and soon!
You're so welcome for the award! And I hope the cloud of gnats lifts soon!
Elizabeth is right, actually...clear the house. I know it sounds flaky and everything, but clear the house with some smoke and your intention to clear it.I could tell you stories, my dear, that would curl your hair about "bad luck" dissipating with a good intention and some clean smoke (sage is good indeed).
Congrats on the awards!! You definitely deserve them. It sounds like you are on a bad roll right now, but things will get better. Two car accidents and injured children are a bit much to take, but you are handling it just fine.
I can't imagine not having the Internet at the house. For writers, blogging is their crack cocaine.
Stay well....
