tHERsDay

Thursday's HER Day. For all the pictures where she's left out. For all the vacations and parties where she is not present. I'm giving her a little weekly press. Just because it's Thursday.

crappy start to the day for both of you. We both know she'll have moved on and forgotten about it LONG before you do.

Human... I say, your human. Hang in there I hate it when I have a Baaad mommy moment right off the bat, don't let it crap up your/her whole day.

I have certainly been there as well. At least twice a week Sam or Noah will pitch a fit just before the bus comes and I have to feel like the worst mother on earth all over again.

I know the feeling.

Love.

Being a parent is hard and being one to a child with special needs is harder. We aren't perfect. We all make mistakes. I'm almost 40 and still fight with my mom but we still love each other. No "real" relationship is all sunshine and roses.

I know how you feel. I made the Roc cry yesterday afternoon when he got home from school. I felt like the worst mother on the planet. He was fine later, know that she is fine right now.

You are human and a good mother.

Take solace in the fact that it is I, who am the worst-mother-on-the-planet. My son has called me "Lord Mom Vader". Top that. ;)

*hugs*

I can see from all the way over here you are a good mom.

Bad moment. Good mom.

I bet the day ends well.

If was in your arms that she cried, meaning she knew, in her own way, that it was a soft place to land.

Man, oh man, I can so relate to this feeling. It's just too much sometimes, right? I know, though, that your awareness, your heartfelt apology and, above all, your love, suffice. Here's to a better day tomorrow.

It happens and it does break our hearts to know that we lost it with our children. I hate that feeling.

Thanks everyone - I am a mean mommy sometimes, but tomorrow is always another day. As my mother-in-law says, the "bad moms" don't sit around beating themselves up when they do wrong.... so that means when I'm guilt-ridden and heartbroken I'm "a good mom?" I guess.... ;)

I'm a bad mom sometimes too, and the crying mornings before the bus are so hard for us. I'm trying to remember to open my arms and heart to hug away the tears, and find that it's good for both of us. We can only do our best, some days we do better than others!
