Coffee Over Snowy Yard, A Happy Friday Post

The early morning snow fall today was pretty and not a hassle at all by the time I had to make the Maryland trek with CB later this afternoon.

I'm happy it's Friday.  The week seemed longer than usual though nothing UNusual occurred to make it such.

Tomorrow Pink completes her sacrament of First Reconciliation which is "Confession" in the Catholic church.  I was raised Episcopalian so we didn't do this so I'm all nervous about it because I really don't know what to expect or how to prepare her. Dr. Fabulous got all bent out of shape because "he didn't realize" it was her sacrament until tonight at dinner, despite that fact that I told him 2,146 times over the past 2 months. "Oh, I thought it was just practice or something" he said.  And HE'S the Catholic one!

Pink and I were brainstorming things for her to possibly confess.  I mean, what has an 8 1/2 year old done to confess about?  Especially an 8 year old like Pink?  She's got the world's most overactive superego I know. I'm sure she feels guilty over everything though.  I hope this goes smoothly.

And I'm hoping I am not coming down with that dreaded stomach flu.  At about 7:30 pm I started feeling all kinds of nauseous and tired which is why I'm cutting this post short and going to bed. Hopefully, I'll feel better in the morning.

When I made my first confession, I confessed to fighting with my sister. That was about all I could come up with.

Feel better!

I always found that confessing about being jealous of someone else was a useful one. I hope she has a glorious day and I hope your nausea was very, very short-lived.

I hope you don't get sick! And good luck to your 8-year old. Sounds intimidating but I'm sure coveting a toy or something will be enough for her confession.

Hi again - I tried to comment on your Publications page but couldn't find where to do so.
Apparently, I am the one who should be asking you for advice on getting published. That's a really impressive list!

I can't wait to read your memoir! <3
