Sometimes the best part of a parent's day is bedtime.
And not necessarily because they are going to sleep for about 10 hours
(though that is a factor, some days more than others)
but more so because they are so snuggly and needy and sleepy and lovey.
Brazen topic change...
I'm over on SheKnows today in the world of "typical parenting"
talking about the top 6 behaviors a parent should nip in the bud before it stops being cute.

You're right - sometimes bedtime is the best. I personally prefer the sleepy, cozy morning snuggle when I go in to wake Lola up. She is all toasty warm and lets me kiss her all over her sweet, soft face to rouse her. Sometimes she scoots over so I can lie down for a minute and have a proper cuddle. It's the best!
@kari - YES the morning cuddle is so special too... when they come into our room padding heavily, all warm from a night's sleep with messy bedhead and stinky breath... it is DIVINE!!
I miss the bedtime story-reading! And I've missed seeing your photos - so glad you checked in at my blog and that reminded me : ) I really enjoyed scrolling down and looking at all of them!
I missed the bedtime story, too and then last week I walked in to a bookstore and saw a new SkippyJohn Jones book. I bought it on the spot and brought it home to read to my 10 and 13 year olds. I made them sit on the couch while I read each page and showed them the pictures just like we used to do. It rocked!
