Strange Realizations

Tonight, I was out and some friends asked me how I fared over the weekend when I was sick with a house full of kids.
"Oh, it wasn't so bad" I said.  "The kids are older now. It's not like I have toddlers running around the house anymore."

True.

Then, CB came home Sunday evening from Maryland. She arrived at around 6:30 and before she went to bed at 9:00 pm she had ripped her curtain rod down, required a full bedlinen change, shredded an entire pom pom, destroyed one of her sister's necklaces, messed up all three of her sisters' rooms in some way that made them cry, pulled 18 items out of the fridge, needed two diaper changes, toppled a rack of magazines all over the floor, and spilled a glass of water.

So, I guess I was wrong... about the "not having a toddler anymore" thing.

Is that CB's way to transition back in with the gang?

@elizabeth - nope, that's her baseline! LOL! A toddler trapped in a 17-yr-old body :)

I was wondering the same thing as Elizabeth! What a make-you-think post. Super momma Alicia. :/

I guess you can be thankful that she was in Maryland over the weekend and you had time to just be sick.

I'm breathing deeply over here for you just thinking about it.

Love.
