Weekend Wrap Up - Savoring Time

I didn't get around to posting last night because we spent our third year at the Philadelphia Flower Show which never disappoints.  I forgot my camera, so no pictures this year.

The flower show kicked off  what will be a very busy March and April.  Art classes for all three girls recently began, spring soccer starts this week, about 4 birthday party invitations have rolled in and more are heading this way, Pink's First Holy Communion and family party are next month along with the American Girl Doll trip to NYC. I'm running in a few weekend races, there are tons of family birthdays including my father's 70th and of course Palm Sunday and Easter traveling. Needless to say, every weekend between now through May is booked solid.

But this past weekend?  It was the last of the weekends of NOTHING.

There were no parties or playdates, no visitors, no sports, no traveling, no looming writing deadlines or work intrusions for me or my husband.  Other than the library on Saturday and Church on Sunday, we lazed around the house appreciating the art of being unscheduled.

Pink read all 135 pages of Diary of a Wimpy Kid in one afternoon laying on the couch with CB keeping her company.  Tink entertained herself as a kid with an active imagination does so brilliantly and Rella walked around like she was a little Ke$ha with Mommy's ipod on.

It. Was. Awesome.

Love those weekends! As far as I'm concerned, the mark of a blissful weekend is finishing an entire book.

Sounds like you needed the respite before putting on your roller skates to head into March!

It looks awesome, and I know the feeling as relaxed weekends are few and far between here as well! I love the tint of the photos -- they are soothing, too!
