What I REALLY Wanted For Mother's Day


Normally, you won't find me complaining about receiving gifts. But on Mother's Day, I can truly do without the spa gift card, shopping sprees or jewelry. What I deeply long for is free of charge. It requires one thing and one thing only: Escape from the children.

An oxymoron to the premise of Mother's Day I suppose... you know, the whole idea that children both young and old spend time with their moms. Well, as much as I love my own mom and mother in law; as much as I adore my 4 little girls; I want to flee the scene of maternal merriment and relish in something truly sacred. Great post!! Oh this is so what I would love for Mother's Day too!! Instead I was nudged at 6am by the hubby to give my oldest her antibiotic.... gee thanks!
