LMAO Ann Coulter! You are so freakin' hilarious! Good one... really... REALLY. Touche! We are all impressed with your snarky, well educated quips. We all know being a 'retard' is never a compliment - you got those democrats GOOD!
Oh, and my 17 year old daughter who has been diagnosed with "Severe Mental Retardation" thinks it's hilarious too.
She must be laughing on the inside.
If she could talk (or take care of any of her self-care needs) she would let you know that you are a freakin' RIOT. But she's the REAL 'retard' after all, not the slang that we like to throw around to insult TYPICAL people. So, since she can't talk or read or write or even UNDERSTAND what you have said, no harm no foul.
Carry on, Ms. Coulter. It's just a word after all. It's only a word. It means nothing to anyone who matters.

"It means nothing to anyone who matters." I think that might be the best recap of this whole shameful vitriol.
This post just strikes right at the heart of this issue. Beautifully done and oh-so-wonderfully-snarky. Love it!!
I just can't imagine how shallow a person's life must be that that they need to spend their time tweeting hateful remarks to a bunch of faceless followers instead of engaging in an intelligent, respectful conversation with someone they actually know.
Sad to be Ann Coulter. Especially given that you are absolutely right about her words meaning nothing to those of us who matter.
I think you hit the nail right on the head about how Ann and her ilk would probably justify her comment.
You also hit the nail right on why it isn't clever, isn't "too PC" and really hurts.
I actually discovered your post through your comment on another great blog post admonishing Ann. I'm glad so many people are taking her to task and telling the world that her comment and attitude, both of which are so pervasive in our society, is HATE.
I am a long time reader of your blog, though I realized I haven't visited in a while. Glad I did today.
I admire your snark, Mama. :D Very Sad to be Ann Coulter. Very sad.
